It is always exciting to see vintage get a nod from mainstream fashion publications. I love when a stylist pulls not only the latest and greatest that is fresh off the runway but also uses vintage in the mix. After all, we all know that this is really the secret behind how fabulous girls with killer style dress in real life, right?
When I saw Miranda Kerr in a special edition of Haute Muse, rocking this sexy pink number I did a little whoo hoo. I instantly recognized it for what it was — a jaw droppingly sexy vintage Yves Saint Laurent cut out gown but what made it even better is that I just sold it's twin (see below) a few weeks ago! So it is a piece that I just had go through my hands! Boy my client is going to be happy when she sees that it is now officially even more of an iconic piece! So exciting!
