Views from a Paris window   +  Roberto Cavalli

I absolutely love this look on Michelle Harper. Michelle is one of my absolute favorite clients — she is fearless in how she put together looks and is an avid wearer of vintage. I have to admit that I was was a little crushed when I emailed her and was told that this was current Roberto Cavalli and not vintage — I mean really — doesn't it have a vintage vibe? But it is still an awesome example on how to work with the proportions of a long lean maxi dress — a silhouette easy to find in a vintage piece and one that we saw reflected on the spring runways.
The jacket is short but soft so feels like an extension of the look rather then competing with it, the hair is simple and sleek. The jewels are elaborate but kept close to the body. Her make-up is dramatic but stark — the focus is on luminous skin. Bravo Michelle!
