My Favorite Kind of Post [A client in vintage from Shrimpton Couture!]

After a wonderful long holiday weekend where I actually took a bit of a break for a change, I am loving that I can get to blogging with my favourite kind of post — showing off one of my favorite clients in a vintage dress that was sourced by me!
Basma is one of my favorite clients. She is beautiful, chic, sweet and funny. When she started shopping with me she was fairly new to vintage and has since become a die hard fan. Her taste is exquisite and I am always pleased when a pieces flies off through the post to her because I know it will be properly, cared for and loved the way it should be. I also kind of love her because her taste is parallel to mine and like me she is a bit of a magpie — we both love the over-the-top pieces that have lots of sparkle, glitz and presence. When I get to know someone's taste and like's, I tend after a time to start buying pieces with them in mind. Case in point — when I posted this 1960s Oscar De la Renta dress a few weeks ago I have to admit that I sort of thought she might be drawn to it. So I was not surprised when she snatched it up!
And just look at it on her! She paired it with vintage Bulgari and vintage David Webb jeweled pieces that look like they were designed to go with this dress. A chic chignon and simple gold shoes finish the look perfectly! I love everything about the way she styled this!
Thank you so much Basma for sharing with us!
Have an amazing & vintage filled day!xxx cherie
