I love this shot — it is a picture from a Vogue circa 1970 something. The clothes are by Giorgio Sant Angelo. The vibe in this photo is exactly what draws me to the seventies. There is this certain throw it on, loose, easy chicness that this particular era seemed to capture. Don't you think that if you could time transport yourself in your own little all denim outfit and plop down on the couch with these girls, that you would have one of those perfect, crazy afternoons that generally involve lots of laughing and leave a girl with that happy feeling that everything is right in the world?
And I would also like to point out the pants. First they are eerily similar to a certain collection of a couple of seasons ago — I think the desinger of that very prominent collection has a library of old Vogues at her disposal! But besides that, they are genius!
The jumpsuit looks to have wider legs that are wrapped and tied to make a ruffle (and I would just like to insert here for the benefit of the ears of the vintage gods, that I would give my right arm for that jumpsuit — those sleeves, the front seam detail — I die). The other looks like that ruffled effect has been added on the end of a skinny jean!
One of you clever girls could DIY this! If you do send pictures so we can see!
