I was wondering why Nasomatto had named China White after a night club. Doh! They named it after the original china white — heroine. I had a very quick sniff today, and it reminded me of a fragrant shrub. It's very herby and natural and fresh with a smoky tinge. I will try it a few more times and give it a full write up. It's probably the most expensive fragrance that I've tested — £90 for 30ml. Fleur Nocturne from Isabey comes a close second at £130 for 50ml
If you like 'herby' perfumes then Annick Goutal's Mandragore Pourpre is much more affordable, and gorgeous. And the Miller Harris perfume Fleur du Matin is high on MyPerfumLife's list of herb inspired perfumes.
