Histoires de Parfums

Sometimes I feel like I'm running to stand still. There are so many lovely perfumes, and many more being released all the time that it's almost impossible to keep up.
Histoires de Parfums have been kind enough to get in touch and send me samples for their fragrances. It will take me a good few weeks to try all of them. So in the meantime, here's a list of everything I'm going to be sampling:

Tubereuse 2 Virginale — a tuberose as you would expect. A good tuberose perfume is a delight, so this is the first (and only) HdP fragrance that I've tried so far. Tubereuse 2 doesn't disappoint. It's gorgeous and worthy of a full review, which I'll write soon. 1828 — Inspired by Jules Verne... Hesperides-like scents, just as a marine breeze over a wild heath. A freshness tinted with sophistication. I enjoy sea inspired fragrances and am looking forward to trying this. Noir Patchouli — Wooded chypre-like, this elixir stimulates the senses. 1969 — Oriental Gourmand. 1804 — An amber flower bouquet, warmed with heady spices and colored by sweet fruits. Amber isn't always my favourite perfume base, but if it's mild 1804 sounds like it could be good. 1826 — a sensual amber carried by the power of white flowers and patchouli. I love white flowers, but have never tried an amber based white flower perfume. Sounds intriguing. Blanc Violette — I've tried very few Violet fragrances. The most recent release was Balenciaga's Paris, which had a huge amount of publicity. 1873 — Unsettling white flowers blossom in a light bubble, sparkling with tangerine and lemon. This description is fantastic and makes me want to try it right away. Ambre 114 -..hot oriental intensifying the natural sensuality of grey amber. 1740 — spiced wooded scent... bergamot... rounded with patchouli and everlasting flower. 1876 — spiced rose Vert Pivoine — Peony Tubereuse 1 Capricieuse & Tubereuse 3 Animale 1725 — An amber fern mixing fine wooded tunes and touches of lemony freshness sublimed by the elegance of lavender.
I'm too excited to hold back, so am having to try one more for now, 1828. The first whiff is quite masculine and woody. I will wait to see how it develops and will be including some reviews of Histoires de Parfums in the coming weeks.
